Terms of Service
Last updated: June 10, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ad Library Checker (the "Service"), a free web tool operated by [Legal entity, TODO] ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service or joining its waitlist, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
Ad Library Checker helps you find out whether a business is advertising. You enter a business name or domain and choose a country, and the Service builds search links into the public ad transparency libraries published by Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn, then opens them in new tabs when you click.
The Service does not host, scrape, or store ad data. It does not access any accounts and does not operate the platforms whose libraries it links to. Those libraries are provided by the platforms themselves, under their own terms.
2. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for how you use the information you find. By using the Service you agree that you will:
- Use the public ad libraries for research and qualification, in line with each platform’s own terms of service and acceptable-use policies.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those covering data protection, intellectual property, and consumer protection.
- Not rely on the Service as legal, financial, or professional advice. Ad activity is a signal, not a guarantee of anything.
You are responsible for determining whether your intended use is lawful and permitted. If you are unsure, do not proceed.
3. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not use the Service to:
- Do anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful.
- Place an unreasonable load on, disrupt, or attempt to damage the Service or any third-party platform it links to.
- Harass, abuse, defraud, or impersonate any person or organization.
- Resell, sublicense, or misrepresent the Service, or remove or alter any notices contained in it.
4. Free access
The Service is currently offered for free and may be made available through a waitlist before broader features are released. Because the Service is free and provided as-is, we may change, limit, pause, or discontinue any part of it at any time without liability to you.
5. Third-party platforms
When you open a link, you leave the Service and interact directly with a third-party platform (Meta, Google, TikTok or LinkedIn) under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not control those platforms, their libraries, or the information they display, and we are not responsible for them. The availability and exact behavior of each library is determined by its provider and may change without notice.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Platform names referenced in the Service belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify their public libraries. Ad Library Checker is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
7. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or availability. We do not warrant that the Service or the links it builds will be uninterrupted, error free, or current. You use the Service at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. This includes any claim arising from information you obtained through a third-party library or from a use that violates these Terms or applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (which, for a free Service, is zero) or one hundred US dollars.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated where reasonable. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law jurisdiction, TODO], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
